Aaron Wright is a proud Philadelphia native who made Cecil County, Maryland his home in 2015 to begin a new chapter in life—one rooted in recovery, service, and community. Since then, Aaron has become a dedicated husband, father, and public advocate working to build a stronger future for all Cecil County residents.

Aaron and his wife, a lifelong Cecil County resident, are raising a beautiful blended family in Elkton, where they’ve lived together for nearly nine years. Two of their children have graduated from Cecil County Public Schools, and two are currently enrolled—making Aaron deeply invested in the quality and future of our local education system.

As a person in long-term recovery, Aaron has become a vocal and passionate advocate for the recovery community. He believes in “recovering out loud,” so others don’t have to suffer in silence. His lived experience drives his commitment to building supportive, inclusive communities.

Aaron has spent nearly a decade with Voices of Hope, a local nonprofit supporting individuals and families impacted by addiction. First as a volunteer and now as a Program Manager, he’s worked hands-on to create pathways to recovery and hope across Cecil County.

He proudly serves on the Board of the Cecil County Chamber of Commerce and has been the Chairman of the Cecil County Behavioral Health Advisory Council for nearly two years—bringing together leaders and voices from across the county to tackle critical issues in behavioral health and wellness.

When he’s not working or advocating, Aaron is with his family—boating on the Chesapeake Bay, fishing, crabbing, and enjoying the beauty of the community he calls home.

Aaron’s campaign focuses on Public Safety, Education, and Economic Development—key pillars he believes are essential to building a healthier, more resilient Cecil County. He’s not just running for office—he’s running for the future of his children, your children, and the community we all love.
